Four Out-of-Control Dogs Attack Two Children and a Woman in Orpington

In southeast London, two children and a woman were attacked by four dogs described as “dangerously out of control.”

The victims, aged four and six, along with a 30-year-old woman, were discovered injured by police and subsequently transported to the hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.

The incident took place on Mickleham Road in St Paul’s Cray, Orpington, shortly before 9am on Saturday, according to the Metropolitan Police.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs that were dangerously out of control following the attack.

Superintendent Mitch Carr acknowledged the alarm this incident may have caused within the local community, especially considering the young ages of the children involved.

He also confirmed that the dogs responsible for the attack have been seized and are currently housed in police kennels while the investigation is ongoing.

To enhance community safety, Superintendent Carr noted that additional officers would be patrolling the area in the upcoming days.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service provided details on the emergency response, stating, “We were alerted at 8:49am on [October 5] to reports of an incident on Mickleham Lane, Orpington.”

The response team included ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer, who treated the victims at the scene before transferring them to a major trauma center by road.
