Search for Missing Nurse Victoria Taylor Continues as Family and Friends Appeal for Help

Police are intensifying their search this weekend for Victoria Taylor, a nurse and mother-of-one, who disappeared five days ago.

Victoria, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, around 9am on Monday. Later that morning, at 11:35am, she was captured on CCTV at a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of Malton.

Some of her personal belongings were discovered near the River Derwent, raising concerns for her wellbeing.

Her sisters, Emma and Heidi, have spoken of their devastation, saying they feel “sick, distraught, and lost” since Victoria’s disappearance. They expressed their gratitude for the public’s support but urged volunteers not to put themselves in danger while searching near the river.

In their statement, the sisters thanked emergency services and volunteers for their ongoing efforts, as well as the local community for rallying around the family during this challenging time.

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the search will continue throughout the weekend, with officers using drones and divers to assist in their efforts.

However, the family has warned that the river poses a significant danger due to recent weather conditions, and they have asked people to avoid risking their own safety during searches along the riverbanks.

As part of their investigation, the police have released a new image of Victoria alongside her brother, Joe. Officers have also reviewed hours of CCTV footage from locations around Malton where she was last seen.

Victoria is described as white, approximately 5ft 6in tall, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffer jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, a grey Jack Wills hoodie, and carrying a salmon/pink Vans backpack.

Charlotte Cundill, a close friend and neighbor, expressed her shock over Victoria’s disappearance. Describing her as a compassionate person and a dedicated nurse, mother, and girlfriend, Charlotte urged her friend to come home, reassuring her that there is plenty of support waiting for her.
